When you drop a batch of stops onto a round, Routella works out the order for you — a short, fast sequence for that driver, with no Google Maps API key to set up and no cost on any plan. It accounts for one-way streets, the service time at each stop, and the time of day, then lets a dispatcher drag any stop to hand-tune the result on a live map. For most rounds, that built-in optimizer is all you need.
When a route has tight delivery windows or runs through real city traffic, the optional Smart Routing add-on layers live traffic from the Google Routes API on top — a flat $5/month, with 250 stops included on Growth and 1,000 on Pro, and prepaid stop packs if you need more — never metered per stop.
