Print round labels

This guide shows you how to print delivery labels for the orders in a saved round, so each package has a clean sticker with the customer's name, address, order number, and a barcode.

What it is

Print Round Labels is a page in Routella that turns the orders inside your delivery rounds into ready-to-print labels. A "round" is one driver's planned trip with a list of stops. You pick which orders you want, Routella draws the labels for you on the right side of the screen, and you send them to your printer. Each label shows who it's going to (name, address, city, phone), who it's from (your business name and phone), the order number, today's date, and a scannable barcode. If an order has a list of products, Routella can also make a small sticker for each item so packers know exactly what goes in the box.

Why it matters

Hand-writing addresses on packages is slow and easy to get wrong, and a wrong address means a failed delivery. Printed labels make every package look professional, match the right order to the right box, and give your driver a clear name and address to deliver to. The barcode lets you scan packages later if you want, and the per-item stickers stop packers from missing or mixing up products. In short: fewer mistakes, faster packing, and a tidier handoff to your driver.

Step by step

  1. 1
Open the labels page from a round
You need a saved round first (a planned trip with orders). From your Rounds list or your delivery history, find the round you want and click its Labels button (the little tag icon). This opens the Print Round Labels page with that round already opened and its orders already ticked for you. You can also open the page directly and pick a round from the list on the left.
  2. 2
Find the round and orders you want
The left side shows your saved rounds, each with its date, driver name, and number of orders. Use the search box at the top to type a customer name, order number, address, or city to jump to what you need. If you have several drivers, tap a driver's name pill to show only that driver's rounds.
  3. 3
    Tick the orders to print
Click the checkbox on a whole round to select all its orders at once, or click a round to open it and tick individual orders one by one. There are also Select All and Deselect All buttons. The counter at the top tells you how many labels are currently chosen. Nothing prints yet, so feel free to experiment.
  4. 4
    Check the live preview
As soon as you tick an order, the right side of the screen draws the real label for you. This is exactly what will come out of the printer. Scroll through it to confirm the names, addresses, and order numbers look right before you print. If you change your selection, the preview updates automatically after a moment.
  5. 5
    Personalize the labels (optional)
Click Label Options to expand a small panel. Here you can type your business name (Brand name), upload a logo image, and add custom Bottom text that appears at the foot of every label (for example a thank-you note or return instructions). The preview updates so you can see your changes right away. Note: the logo and custom bottom text are paid-plan features; on the Free plan the labels still print, just without that extra branding.
  6. 6
    Open and print
When the preview looks right, click the Open / Print button at the top. The labels open in a new browser tab with a Print labels button. Click it to send them to your printer. In your browser's print box, choose your label printer or paper size and confirm. The new tab also has a language dropdown if you want the label wording (From, To, Phone, and so on) in another language.
  7. 7
Load the matching paper or sticker stock
Make sure your printer has the right label stock loaded before printing. Routella's standard label is a 10x15 cm sticker (one per sheet), which suits most thermal and sheet label printers. Print one test label first to confirm it lines up on your paper, then print the rest.

Tips

  • Start with one test print. Tick a single order, print just that one, and check it sits correctly on your label paper before printing the whole batch.
  • The To address and your From business name always print, on every plan. The logo and custom bottom text only appear on paid plans, so if your logo isn't showing, that's why, not a bug.
  • Per-item stickers appear automatically when an order has a product list. If you get more stickers than expected, that's one extra sticker per product unit so packers can match each item to the box.
  • The barcode on each label is built from the order number, so keep your order numbers tidy if you plan to scan packages later.

Common questions

Why is the preview empty?

Nothing is ticked yet. Pick at least one round or order on the left, and the label will draw itself on the right. If you ticked something and still see nothing, give it a second to load.

Can I print labels for just some orders in a round, not all of them?

Yes. Click the round to open it, then tick only the orders you want. The preview and the count at the top update to match exactly what you selected.

My logo or custom bottom text won't show up. What's wrong?

Those are paid-plan branding features. On the Free plan the labels still print fully with the customer address, your business name and phone, the order number, date, and barcode, but the logo and custom bottom text are turned off. Upgrade to a paid plan to add them.
