Print a saved route sheet
This guide shows you how to turn a saved delivery route into a clear A4 or Letter route sheet for a driver, or save the same sheet as a PDF.
What it is
A route sheet is a printable copy of one saved Routella route. It uses the route's optional saved name or number as the sheet title when one is set. It keeps the saved stop order and shows the driver, date and time, start and end points, and one numbered section for each physical stop. Each stop can include the order number, customer name, address, phone or email, items, delivery notes, and paper checkboxes for Completed and Failed. When several orders belong to one saved physical visit, they stay together as one numbered stop. The print view is private to the signed-in Routella account that owns the route.
Why it matters
A paper route sheet gives a driver a simple backup when a phone battery, mobile signal, or company process makes paper useful. The saved stop order stays clear, the important delivery details sit together, and the driver has space to mark what happened at each stop. You can print it on ordinary office paper or keep a PDF for a dispatch record without rebuilding the route in another document.
Step by step
- 1Save the delivery route firstThe print sheet comes from a saved route, so finish arranging the stops and save the route before you print. The sheet uses that saved order rather than making a new route or changing the stop sequence.
- 2Open the route actionsOn the dashboard, find the saved route in your active Rounds list or in delivery history. Open that route's actions menu and choose Print route sheet. You must be signed in to the Routella account that owns the route.
- 3Check the route and stop detailsThe print view shows the route header and every saved physical stop in order. Check the driver, date, time, start and end points, customer contact details, addresses, items, and notes. If several orders are grouped into one physical visit, Routella prints them together under one stop number.
- 4Print it or save a PDFClick Print / Save as PDF. In your browser's print window, choose a printer for a paper copy or choose Save as PDF for a digital copy. The page is designed to fit both A4 and Letter paper. Check the browser preview before confirming, especially for a long route.
- 5Use the stop checkboxes as a paper checklistEach printed stop has Completed and Failed checkboxes for the driver to mark by hand. These boxes are only a checklist on the sheet; they do not change the live delivery status in Routella. The driver still records the real result in the Routella driver page.
Tips
- Print after the stop order is final. If you rearrange and save the route later, print a fresh sheet so the paper matches Routella.
- Use Save as PDF when you need to send the sheet through your own approved channel or keep a dispatch copy without using paper.
- A route with many items or long notes may continue a stop onto another page. Always check the browser preview before printing the full batch.
- The route sheet and shipping labels do different jobs: the route sheet is one driver checklist for the whole trip, while labels are attached to individual packages.
Common questions
Can I print an older completed route?
Yes, as long as the saved route still exists in your delivery history. Open its actions menu and choose Print route sheet. A deleted route cannot be printed.
Do the Completed and Failed boxes update Routella?
No. They are paper checklist boxes only. The driver must still mark the stop delivered, failed, or missed on the Routella driver page for the live route and reports to update.
Can I edit the route from the print page?
No. The print page is a read-only copy of the saved route. Go back to the dashboard to change the route, save it, and then print a new sheet.
Why does one stop show several order numbers?
Those orders were saved as one physical visit, such as several orders going to the same office or front desk. Routella keeps them together under one stop number so the paper matches the real visit.
