Settings, language & branding

This guide shows a small-business owner how to set Routella's display language, switch between light and dark looks, set country/units/time format, and put their own logo and brand colors on the customer tracking page and shipping labels.

What it is

The Settings page is where you make Routella look and read the way you want. In one place you can pick the language the screens are shown in, choose a light or dark look, tell Routella which country you're in (which sets your units, currency, time zone, and the map), and add your business logo and colors so the page your customer sees while tracking their delivery and your printed shipping labels look like they came from your business, not from Routella. You reach it from the gear or "Settings" link, and the settings are grouped into tabs across the top: Account, General, Delivery, Branding, and a few others.

Why it matters

When the screens are in your own language, you and your drivers make fewer mistakes and work faster. When the country is set right, distances, weights, times, and money show up the way you expect instead of in foreign units. And when your logo and colors are on the tracking page and labels, customers instantly trust that the delivery is from you, which makes your business look bigger and more professional, even if it's just you and one van.

Step by step

  1. 1
Open Settings and find the tabs
From your dashboard, open Settings (the gear or 'Settings' link). At the top you'll see a row of tabs you can tap through: Account, General, Delivery, Branding, and more. Language and look live under 'General'. Your logo and colors live under 'Branding'. Your business name, phone, and main logo live under 'Account'.
  2. 2
Set the language the screens are shown in
Go to the 'General' tab. Under 'Interface Language', click the box and start typing your language name (you can search). Pick it from the list. The screens switch right away. A note reminds you it will be saved and used across the whole interface. Routella supports a very large list of languages, including right-to-left ones like Hebrew and Arabic.
  3. 3
Choose light or dark, then your country
Still on 'General', under 'Appearance' pick Light, Dark, or Auto (Auto means it follows the time of day — light during the day, dark at night). Then under 'Country', pick where your business is. This one choice sets your default units, currency, time zone, and centers the map for you. You can fine-tune the measurement boxes (Volume, Weight, Distance, Dimensions) and the 'Time format' (Auto, 12-hour like 3:00 PM, or 24-hour like 15:00) right below if the defaults aren't what you use.
  4. 4
Add your business name, phone, and logo
Open the 'Account' tab. Fill in 'Business Name' and 'Phone' — these show up on the things your customers see. For 'Logo', you can either paste a link to your logo image or click 'Upload' to choose a file from your device; Routella shrinks big images for you. This logo is the one used on your tracking page header and, unless you set a separate one, on your labels too.
  5. 5
Set your brand colors and preview the tracking page
Open the 'Branding' tab. Set 'Primary Color' (your main brand color) and 'Secondary Color' using the little color square or by typing a color code like #FC8D1A. As you change them, a live preview of the customer tracking page updates on the right so you can see exactly how it will look. A note confirms these colors appear on your tracking page and shipping labels.
  6. 6
    Customize your shipping labels
Lower on the 'Branding' tab is the shipping label. You can switch the label style between 'Classic' and 'Custom' (Custom lets you set separate label colors and upload a label-only logo). There's a live label preview too. Below that, under 'Shipping Label Settings', pick the label size, set 'Label language' (leave on Auto to match your interface language, or pick a fixed one), and toggle whether to show the logo, a barcode, and the list of items on the label.
  7. 7
Optionally lock the driver and tracking page language
If you want the driver app and the customer tracking pages to always be in one language no matter where the delivery goes, open the 'Delivery' tab and set 'Driver & tracking page language' to a country. Leave it on 'Auto' and Routella will instead use the language of each delivery's destination country, which is usually what you want for customers.
  8. 8
    Save your changes
When you change anything, a bar appears at the top saying 'You have unsaved changes' with 'Cancel' and 'Save Changes' buttons; each section also has its own 'Save Changes' button at the bottom. Click Save — it briefly shows 'Saved!'. Heads up: Routella won't let you leave the page while changes are unsaved, so save (or click Cancel to undo) before navigating away.

Tips

  • The country setting is a shortcut, not a cage. Picking your country fills in sensible units, currency, time zone, and map center, but you can still override the units and time format right underneath if your business uses different ones.
  • Use a logo with a see-through (transparent) background if you can — it sits cleanly on the tracking page header and labels. Routella automatically shrinks large images, so you don't need to resize them first.
  • Watch the live previews before you save. The tracking page and label previews update as you type your colors and swap your logo, so you can catch a hard-to-read color or an off look before any customer sees it.
  • Don't navigate away with the orange 'unsaved changes' bar still showing — Routella will block you and shake the bar. Click 'Save Changes' to keep your work, or 'Cancel' to throw it away, then move on.

Common questions

Does changing the interface language also change what my customers see?

Not by itself. The 'Interface Language' on the General tab changes the screens you and your team use. What your customer sees on the tracking page follows their own delivery's destination country by default. If you want to lock that, use 'Driver & tracking page language' on the Delivery tab. Labels have their own 'Label language' setting on the Branding tab.

Where do I put my logo — Account or Branding?

Your main business logo lives on the Account tab, and that same logo is used on the tracking page header and on labels. The Branding tab lets you upload a separate logo just for labels if you want a different one there; if you don't, it simply reuses your business logo.

I changed colors but the customer page still looks old. Why?

Most likely the change wasn't saved. Look for the orange bar at the top or the 'Save Changes' button at the bottom of the section and click it — you should see a quick 'Saved!' confirmation. The live preview on the Branding tab updates instantly, but the real tracking page only changes after you save.
